Your Spectrum membership includes:

    • Unlimited use of workout facilities
    • Access to several Spectrum Fitness locations

The following policies are in place so that we can provide a quality environment that is clean, safe and pleasant for all members.

General rules:

  • Proper workout attire is required.  Open-toe shoes and jeans are NOT permitted.
  • Please remember to bring your membership card every time you visit the Club. There is a replacement fee for lost or damaged cards. Please see “Fees” section for pricing.
  • Use your workout towel to wipe off equipment and benches after use. There are also pull down towels and spray bottles available throughout the club.
  • To avoid injury and damaged equipment, do NOT drop or slam down weights.
  • Rack all weights & dumbbells after each use. It is mandatory to return weights.
  • Profanity is not allowed in the Club.
  • Children under 12 years of age are not permitted on the gym floor at any time – NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Please leave all valuables at home. The Club is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Personal Training or training of any kind may only be conducted by employees of Spectrum Fitness. It is strictly prohibited for any non- employee to train, guide, or instruct another member, client or the like.
  • Please be courteous at all times. Please treat other members, staff and the facility with courtesy and respect.
  • Inappropriate behavior, disruptions and/or failure to follow rules may result in the suspension or termination of your membership. Management reserves the right to cancel any membership at any time.

Guest Passes - As a Spectrum member, we welcome your friends and family to experience our facilities for themselves. We know that committing to a lifestyle change is a big step and we want our guests to feel welcome. You received guest passes with your membership.  You may use these to bring a friend to work out with you!  

Guest Fees - Guests who have visited the club on a guest pass can utilize the facility for $15.00 upon filling out a guest form and showing a valid photo ID. Guests under the age of 18 must have a parent’s signature on their guest form in order to work out or use any part of the facility. Management reserves the right to refuse any guest.

Baton Rouge Fitness Alliance - We are excited to introduce you to the Baton Rouge Fitness Alliance. The BRFA is composed of the best locally owned and operated fitness centers, including Foxy’s Fitness Centers and Fitness in Motion. We united in order to bring you all of our years of experience, knowledge and commitment to the Baton Rouge community. The Alliance club membership gives you access to nine other fitness centers located all across the metro-Baton Rouge area, without any added expense to you. There are many benefits in being an Alliance club member. You will have the opportunity to workout at all the other locations and experience many different classes, programs, equipment and amenities. The additional locations allow for more flexibility and variety in your workouts, as well as added convenience to insure that you reach your fitness goals. Feel free to go to a club that is close to home, work, wherever you are stuck in traffic, on the other side of town, or want something special such as pools, spa services or ladies only. They’re all at your access!

 

Summer Membership Program - We offer a short-term membership ONLY for the summer months. The Summer Memberships are available between May 1st and June 15th and are the same price throughout the summer.  All summer memberships expire on August 31.

Fees - A $20.00 service fee will be attached to any returned checks or drafts.  A $10.00 scan card fee is required for all person(s) on the membership agreement. There is a $5 replacement fee for lost or damaged scan cards.  Cards are required for all members.

Freezing of Memberships - Spectrum Fitness will only allow a freeze on your membership for one of the following: doctor’s excuse for legitimate medical reason or temporary out of town employment (over 1 month). No freeze request for vacations will be accepted. If you choose to utilize the “freeze time” courtesy, all accounts must be current. Regular monthly payments will continue during the term of the freeze, and credit for the freeze will be given at the time of renewal.

Cancellation of Memberships - At the sole discretion of the Club, Spectrum will allow you to break your contractual membership agreement ONLY if you will be moving your residence AND employment a distance of 55 miles from a Spectrum location. Your membership must be current with a zero balance. A membership may not be cancelled until a minimum of 6 monthly payments have been made on a 12 month contract.  VALID proof of new residence and emplyment must be attached to a cancellation request, approved by your Club Director AND ABC FINANCIAL SERVICES, in order for your membership to be cancelled while still IN contract.  Otherwise, you are obligated to the length of time that you signed for on your membership agreement.

As a courtesy, Spectrum offers the option of an automatic renewal. If this option is chosen on the contract,   your membership will automatically continue on a month to month basis until you decide to renew or cancel your membership agreement.  If you choose to renew, your membership rate is locked in and is not subject to change while in contract.  If you choose to stay on a month to month basis, your monthly rate will increase by $5 and is subject to increase without notice during any period while not in contract. All cancellation requests require a 30 day notice to stop payments and end the agreement.
